Neil Kobrin, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist, LCSW and MFT with decades of clinical experience. He was a university president, as well as president of several professional psychology graduate schools, where he also was a professor. He taught a variety of doctoral/masters level courses, including Law and Ethics. He is the bestselling author of the book Emotional Well-Being: Embracing the Gift of Life and is the founder and president of the Academy of Mindful Psychology. He is an international workshop leader in Mindfulness and Emotional Health. His workshops, attended by people from all over the world, are designed to cultivate awareness, promote tranquility, and shift consciousness to advance emotional well-being. He maintains a private clinical practice.
Silva Hassert, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist who routinely conducts risk assessments in an emergency department setting. She received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University and has trained in community, hospital, and private practice setting. She collaborates with those in crisis to develop strategies to safely move forward. Her desire to provide comprehensive care also led her to seek specialized training in cognitive assessment. She enjoys teaching, training, and supervision related to managing and reducing risk in clinical practice.
